Sadly I see it all the time! More women today are confused about what to buy and what to wear than ever before. We are bombarded on a daily basis, often with conflicting advice, from celebrities, magazines, award ceremonies, fashion guru’s, friends and if you’re really lucky even strangers wading in about how we should look!!

As a direct result our heads are in meltdown with miss information, our wardrobes are collapsing under the pressure of being stuffed to bursting point and our psyches are begging for relief. And in the meantime, we feel like we are wasting our precious time, energy and money on a wardrobe that doesn’t meet our needs. No wonder then that the women I talk to are tearing their hair out.

In years gone past women were sent to finishing schools, beauty academies and the like where the young ladies would be taught the rules of beauty, fashion & style. You knew exactly what was expected of you whatever the occasion and the rules were simple to follow and if you couldn’t go to finishing school then the rules were past down along the generations of women.

Today women have much more freedom, although the rules are barely visible and the ones that do exist are unspoken leaving women totally confused and they give up before they can make any sense of them. So it comes as no real surprise that 80% of women are dissatisfied with their appearance.

It explains why so many women are lost in the world of style because they cannot make head or tail of what looks good on them
