QCIC Consultancy Services for Men

It is famously said that 'clothes maketh the man'.  These days, men are judged on appearance just as much as women are, although perhaps it is not discussed quite so openly.  Times and circumstances change, but many men stick to what they know, and wear the same styles they used to wear years ago.

Some men put minimal effort into shopping, with predictably disastrous results.

  • Are you honestly aware of the impression you make on others around you?
  • Does someone else choose most of your clothes?
  • Do you want to be respected, admired and taken seriously with maximum credibility?

QCIC can work with you to define an image that makes the right impression, whether business or social.  Our consultations offer tips on colour, style and grooming, as well as shopping and wardrobe advice.

We can help whether you are a jeans and T-shirt kind of guy, or the boss who needs to make an impact in the boardroom.  We don't change your innate sense of good taste, take away your self-image or interfere with your independent ideas.  We just subtly help you express your authentic personality by enhancing your aesthetic appeal.

"Don't just buy clothes that people tell you are the things you should have.  Buy clothes that make you look the best you can."      (Sue Cocks)

Clothes maketh the man = Appearance is important

Origin: A similar expression was current among the ancient Greeks: 'The garment makes the man'.  In the form 'apparel makes the man' the idea turned up in England as early as the 16th Century.  A century later it was sometimes put as 'the taylor makes the man'.  From "The Dictionary of Cliches" by James Rogers (Ballantine Books, New York, 1985).  A second source points out that a similar phrase was used by William Shakespeare in "Hamlet".
