Traditionally people have been trained using methods started in the 70’s which are now not appropriate to customer expectations. Today people are much more aware of the impact of their visual message and how this in turn affects how people react to them. They want to work with consultants who have been trained to a very high standard in the latest techniques.

Style verses fashion: learning to accessorise; demonstrating to your client the art of dressing

Personal Shopping:  what it’s all about, client expectations, where to shop and when. Your Personal Shopping: what's it all about, client expectations, where to shop and when. Your expectations; assessing a client.

Trends for the coming season, men and women

Marketing yourself: business planning, web sites, business branding and what it really says about you.

Once you have completed your training you are under no obligation (no franchise) whatsoever to QCIC Training Academy. We will however as a minimum, like to chat to delegates prior to starting the training to ensure that you understand exactly the course content/requirements and potential rewards in this very fulfilling career.

At the conclusion of the training you are free to market and run your business in the way that works best for you with continued telephone and email support from QCIC Training Academy.

If you so wish, after you have been trading for 1 year you can take the city & guilds examinations with either The Federation of Image Consultants (TFIC) or the AICI. Please note, expect to pay around £500+ to do this.

Why you should consider carefully who you train with

I have met with many consultants and am constantly amazed by many of them who have set themselves up in business after watching the television programmes or consultants who have trained with companies, some very well known (who you may have come across) and have come to the conclusion that all courses are not equal and some clearly do not do the job at all.

What is shocking to me is the thought of these people practising their dubious skills on the unsuspecting public...... and getting paid for it.

A deposit of £400 (non refundable) is taken to reserve your space. Please note we do not hold places while you make up your mind. Places are booked on a first come first served basis. The remaining £650 is to be paid no later than 30 days prior to the training starting. Please note, we do not send reminders about balance payments due, it is the responsibility of the delegate to ensure that payment is made on time. We will assume that if a balance payment is not made, you are not taking up your reservation and your place will be offered to others.
