Answers to your thoughts and questions

How much experience have you had Sue?

I worked in retail for several years before training as an Image Consultant. I also ran a very successful business for 12 years prior to that. QCIC Academy was launched in the summer of 2007, it's primary objective to train consultants in the latest up to date principles. When I originally trained, I found that the dated 1970's principles had no place whatsoever in today's market and actually this held me back. Hence the academy was developed and launched and is fast becoming a 'name' as a place of excellence.

What experience do I need to have had before I train with you?

None whatsoever. You do however need to be a people person.

I would like to learn everything as fast as possible, is that a problem?

You need to give yourself time to acquire the knowledge and skills. This is an investment in your future not a race.

How many delegates will there be on each course?

Small groups work best, so 8 in total. Everyone works at their own pace and if we need to spend more time on certain sections we will. It is my intention that you leave fully understanding all concepts of the image industry. I offer on going mentoring & support.

Will I be capable enough to carry out a consultation and charge clients when my experience is minimal?

Yes, you will have your equipment ready to start, but you also must have your studio ready too. It is no good saying you are ready to receive clients if you have no business stationary, business phone (I do not recommend using your personal mobile or house phone as this is not professional; and do you really want clients calling you at 11pm at night) A web site is paramount for businesses these days, without one, how can clients find you. They cannot see you sitting in front of your computer!

What is the income potential?

The sky is the limit. It all depends on how much effort you are willing to put into the business in the beginning to build it and develop a referral system.

Will the QCIC Academy do the marketing for me?

No. As an independant Image Coach/Personal Stylist or however you title yourself you are running your own business; this is not a franchise and you are responsible for developing your own data base and marketing systems. I cover this subject in the training and I know what works. You will have everything you need to get started and be successful.

Do I have to quit my full time job?

No. Many coaches do this part time for additional income; in time it can be built into a full time business.

Is this a good time to be in business?

Yes, this is a great time to start this business. The relaxed casual look has gone too far and people of all ages are looking for the competitive edge in their image.

How can I pay?

Fees are paid by cheque (GBP only) BACS or debit/credit card on line or by direct debit.

Payment of the deposit is the only way to make a firm booking. When people do not do that, I assume that they have changed their minds. I have many enquiries about the training, people who pay the deposit get the places, people who are indecisive and will not commit lose out. Places are not held for people while they 'think about it'. All deposits paid are transferable but are non-refundable, there are no exceptions. If for whatever reason, you are unable to take the place on the course that you have booked, your booking will be transferred to another course. Please note, we do not send reminders about balance payments due, it is the responsibility of the delegate to ensure that payment is made on time. We will assume that if a balance payment is not made, you are not taking up your reservation and your place will be offered to others.

Do I need to acquire a qualification?

You will be qualified to work as an Image Coach/ Personal Stylist. A certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the training.

Why are you not based in London? Isn’t that where you have to be?

Not everyone wants the hassle of catching the train to the city and this also prolongs the day. You are coming to a beautiful hotel set in the back waters of Epsom, a 10 minute drive from the M25 J9. You can park right outside (no charges) and you can sing your way to and from the training in the comfort of your car. You can’t do that on the train! It is the quality of the training that counts, not the location. Check out the venue (http://www.chalklanehotel.com) For Dubai training  venue's these will be advised.

What is the dress code?

Smart casual is appropriate for the training days. This is a business course so mobiles are switched off, there is a no smoking policy, chewing gum is not acceptable (that would look so professional when seeing clients, NOT) All refreshments are provided, tea and coffee are on tap and lunch is salad/soup/ sandwiches. Any particular dietary requirements please let me know.

Why should I train with you?

As an active Image Coach I see at grass roots what is required by clients today, I am not holed up in my office having not been near a shopping centre for many months. QCIC Training Academy is the only UK company offering a training programme which is relevant for the industry in today's market. Many companies still use very dated principles from the 1970's which will restrict your business. I have developed the programmes based on client expectations today. My training incorporates theory as well as practical assignments.

Do you offer a guarantee?

All students are trained to a very high level of competency. If you are not satisfied with your training we offer a money back guarantee (terms & conditions apply). All manuals and equipment must be returned in pristine condition before any refund is given.
