Colour makes people feel wonderful, it lifts the inner spirit in all of us.

"My sister and I had both previously had our colours done using the tonal method which we found to be complicated & difficult to understand and the consultants seemed to be confused too. We attended as models one of Sue's courses and were very impressed with this system from the start. The stages are so easy to understand, the process is simple to explain to clients & to learn the art as a consultant. This is the only system anyone considering training as a colour consultant should take. It's simply brilliant". (Tara & Beth)

I was originally trained in the Seasonal method of doing colour analysis. It was a really great consultation to do I was told by my trainer, so why didn't I enjoy them? Well for starters I couldn't 'see' what the drapes were meant to be telling me; it wasn't clear on most clients. Oh how I used to love the 'easy' ones, why weren't there more of them; I seemed to just attract the 'awkward' ones...it had to be me, perhaps I was just stupid or something, everyone seemed able to 'see' the signs, so I was obviously just not 'getting it'....or so I thought. I was attending the IFIC conference (when it was the TFIC) and I dared to ask other consultants, how do you find doing colour? Their answers amazed me, they went along the lines, I hate doing colour, it's so complicated, can't get started, no-one is easy to do, I don't do colour anymore because I don't get it, I find it an irratating consultation because I cannot find a clear starting point...and so it went on. It dawned on me that I wasn't alone in my thinking/feeling of doing colour. It wasn't that we couldn't do colour coding, it was the system that was wrong. The system is so dated (I compare it to the london underground system, great original idea but doen't meet the needs of its passengers today) and there isn't enough scope for today's market; that got me thinking deeply, how can I enjoy doing colour consultations with a system that I LOVE using. So keeping the process simple, here's introducing:

 The Seasonal Twist Colour SystemTM

Are you totally fed up & frustrated by using the seasonal/tonal colour systems?

Do you struggle to find a starting point?

Have you stopped doing colour or would you love to learn the art of colour coding?

Well here is the alternative

  • The seasonal Twist Colour System™ has been designed to fill a gap in the market. Traditionally there have been two ways of colour analysing clients, the seasonal way (spring, summer, autumn and winter) or the tonal way (light, bright, muted, soft, clear etc) both ways are extremely dated and do not allow for the genetics in peoples body make-up today.
  • It enables you to learn the concept of colour coding quickly & easily even if you haven't done this type of work before
  • The system is broken down into easy to manage stages
  • There is a clear starting point
  • At stage 3 you can check that you are on the right path, you don't get that with the traditional methods where you are left to flounder
  • Consultations are shorter but more in depth
  • Great for corporate and group work
  • Great earning potential
  • As clients today have a variety of genetics within their body make-up it is easier to identify their dominant skin tones using our different stages
  • Repeat business, greater opportunities as clients skin tones fade over time

How it works

Traditionally you place 4 drapes of the same colour (blue, green, red etc) around your clients' face and look to see the impact on your clients' skin tone and features. This can be very difficult to decipher if your client has mixed genetics in their body make-up.

Also for female clients you sit them in a chair, scrape back their hair and remove their make-up whilst facing a mirror. This can be a very unnerving experience for the lady and they are feeling very tense and are not enjoying themselves at this time. Not a good place to be.

With the Seasonal Twist Colour SystemTM your clients get to relax from the beginning because:

  1. There is no need to remove make-up and scrape your clients hair back, so they can just relax
  2. You start with a series of pictures which generate a lovely relaxed atmosphere
  3. Your client will clearly be able to see and understand the process and enjoy it
  4. When working with groups the participants will get excited as their turn comes round so the adrenalin will be pumping; a great atmosphere will develop, which helps you
  5. The main drapes have a variety of colours on them (see picture above) making it easier for you to 'see' the message the drapes are giving you
  6. You will enjoy every consultation.

The Seasonal Twist Colour SystemTM is unique to the QCIC Academy. It is an essential tool kit to enable you to succeed in offering colour consultations with ease and professionalism.

About Me

When I was a little girl I wanted to be a famous ballerina (well it’s was every girls dream, before X factor & Britain’s’ got talent shows came along) but alas I grew too tall!

I then discovered swimming, talk about a fish in water I was never out of it! I became very good at it and developed a skill for long distance events, reeling in my fellow competitors was what I particularly enjoyed even if I consistently gave my coach a coronary in every competition, doing so. I learnt about how mindset can affect your performance and when I didn’t achieve the result I wanted in an event then I needed to change how I saw failure, putting it in the right context not beating myself up. I would not appreciate until much later in life how having the ability to control my mindset would help me as I faced a massive challenge.

On the 31st December 1990 at 1.45pm my life changed forever when I was involved in a serious, life changing car accident. Having to learn to live with those injuries was a major challenge; for five years it was a constant round of consultants, scans, medication, physio’s, a roller coaster of emotions. This is where my positive mindset kicked in, people live with much worse than me, and I could and would cope. I decided that my injuries would fit into my life, not the other way around.

Fast forward many years and in that time I opened my day nursery which I absolutely loved. I increased the capacity of the nursery 3 times which involved moving premises, employing more staff (24) which was pretty scary but hey I survived the experiences and I was ready for each change in level. Feeling a little apprehensive (okay a lot sometimes) is a good thing because it means you are not going in feeling complacent. But I was ready to grow with my business and when you step up it is a fantastic experience.

Eventually that business was sold as I was truly ready for something new. I returned to being employed as an area manager but within weeks was called into my boss’s office and was made redundant simply because my joining the company had put a huge financial strain on his business. The warning signs were there from the start but it hit me hard but after a short holiday to get over it I dusted myself down and joined the retail management world, a very different experience. I loved working in retail and gained valuable experience in how it all works but alas I realised that working for others wasn’t a right ‘fit’ for me. I need freedom to do my own thing and I’m the best boss in the world to work for.

So I entered the world of Image Consultancy in 2002 and this is the best career move I have ever made. I’m often asked why I didn’t enter it sooner but my answer is simple, I wasn’t ready for it. But I do so much more than image. Image is so much more than what you wear and my business has changed from level to level, when I was ready for the next step up.  It is so exciting as your business evolves, where you start is just a starting point, when you tap into your intuition and are guided by it your business fully explodes into life.

I've also realised that most Image Consultants live in a very restricted world as they are surrounded by 'limited visionaries' in other words people whose thinking is traditional which boxes you in. I've always known that I came into the world of image consulting to transform it; now when that thought first came into my head I thought what a stupid thing to think, but it did make me think. Now some of you may find this spooky....I was doing the ironing one day and singing rather badly to the radio (as you do) when suddenly I received the following message...how would you like to have your own training company answerable to no-one? Yes please I replied how can I do I do that? I immediately abandoned the ironing and got to work, I was so inspired. Three months later I had my first trainee. WOW I was blown away.

Now I realised that I have a deep connection to my intuition & Team Sue as I call it. I've come to realise that if I connect with my inner core and engage Team Sue I receive guidance on where I should be headed and it enables me to connect at a deep level with my ideal clients and to guide them in their new businesses.

I suppose I better explain who Team Sue is. A few years ago I watched the film the secret which at the time was very popular; now there are cynical people who think this concept is a load of rubbish but for me that way of thinking resonates with me and it has opened up the world for me. If I tap into my inner source and Team Sue (who are actually my beloved grandparents) I am guided to where I need to be for me. I am truely amazed at how they inspire me to act on the ideas presented. At times the ideas seemed daunting but I would just say, how can I do that and the way is shown.

Now what's important here is that every idea presented must be acted on, you are never given an idea that wouldn't work for you. This is a different way of thinking and I love it. I've never liked being boxed in and I found that many of the tradtional methods of consulting and training keep you boxed in, meaning you have a limited business and that isn't for me. I want a limitless business doing the things that are right for me.

Are you a limited or limitless person? How do you want your business to be limited or lots of opportunities?

So if my way of thinking and training resonates with you and you’re ready, lets connect and get your new business exploding too in the way which is a right ‘fit’ for you.

We train you to work with clients from the inside out. Too much emphasis is put on fitting clients into boxes, it's where they should be history has stated. We believe that is an incorrect concept that is well past its sell by date; we concentrate on getting to your clients' inner thoughts & feelings the ones that block them from moving forward. We teach you to develop your skills using our techniques which will enable you to do so. It is this whole wrap around approach to styling clients that we believe in. On a personal note I know how it feels to start a business in the image industry; I know how fears can set in that block you and I teach you ways to unblock those fears; I understand how thoughts such as...will the phone ever ring, will anyone book a consultation with me. This is why I offer on-going mentoring & support, a supporting hand which I feel is as essential as the training itself.
